Our mission is to uphold the Constitutions of the United States of America and the State of Michigan. To serve the residents of Garfield Township while maintaining is rural and agricultural environment.

Garfield Township Junk Day
Garfield Township will be hosting their annual Junk Days on June 13 & 14, 2014 at the Garfield Township Hall, 7190 Bingham Ave, Newaygo, MI 49337.
Hours: 9am – 3pm
We will not accept any hazardous waste materials or tires. Newaygo County will be offering a Household hazardous waste day from 8am-2pm on June 14 at the Newaygo County Road Commission Building.
A list of things we can not accept will be posted soon.
The cemetery committee is looking for volunteers and any ideas for a new Veterans Memorial. The committee and the township of Garfield are looking to add a memorial for Veterans at the Garfield Township cemetery. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Linda Cole at 231-652-9241 or please come to a meeting. Meeting are held monthly on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm at the Garfield Township Hall.
In the Spring of 2014, Garfield Township Road Commission will be paving 80th between Baldwin & Luce. This is a 2 mile stretch. If you have any questions, please contact the Garfield Township Road Commission.
